Stumbling.
Freezing.
Staggering left.
Cold reaching deep.
Staggering right.
Slowly.
Walking.
Creeping.
Closer.
Gun in hand.
Holding in breath.
Expecting only death.
Standing.
Hovering.
Crouching.
Squinting.
Searching for life.
Searching for breath.
Barely a heartbeat left.
Gasping.
Bleeding.
Crying.
Dying.
Two hands enclosing.
Unmasking their fears.
Death being fought —
through courage filled tears.
