To recover a lost password, email us here and give us the email address with which you registered. You will be sent a RESET PASSWORD link.
You don’t have to register to read stories on the archive, but you do have to register if you want to upload stories or leave a review. We don’t need any personal information—just your savings account number and pin (🤣)—but we do need you to register as yet another way to keep those pesky spammers out.
At the top of the page, in the upper right corner of your browser, the farthest icon (with the little person silhouette) is where you’ll Register. You can sign up for an account by clicking on that icon. You can also register in the LOGIN box on the right sidebar of every page, as well as in the COMMUNITY forum.
Once you’ve successfully registered, you can access your account via the LOGIN box on the right sidebar of every page.
If you’re having problems, please feel free to send an email and Captain Dobey will be happy to create an account for you and help you manage it. Oh, he’ll complain about it, but that’s just his way.
If you haven’t done it yet, please register for an account. Once you’ve logged in, click on the link at the very top of the site that reads ADD/EDIT STORY (click here for instructions if you need them). The form there will allow you to submit your story. Your story will have to be approved first (mostly to assure proper formatting), so please be patient with us while we go through this process.
Since the archive has its own disclaimer at the bottom of every page, we do not feel individual story disclaimers are necessary.
Navigate to the story you wish to download. Depending on your browser, you will select its READER VIEW (see instructions below for the browser of your choice).
Once in READER VIEW, you will simply use the PRINT feature on your computer browser and PRINT TO PDF or EXPORT TO PDF (depending on your computer).
Your computer will then automatically download the PDF to your computer and store it wherever your computer stores your downloads.
You may then use that PDF to view as is and/or upload it to ePub and Kindle.
To enable READER VIEW in your browser, do the following:
SAFARI
Under the VIEW tab, select SHOW READER.
CHROME
A lot more complicated, so follow these instructions:
CLICK HERE to be taken to the READER VIEW extension. Once there, click on the INSTALL button (on a PC or ADD EXTENSION on a Mac) to add it to the Chrome browser. Once that has occurred, you will see an icon in the upper right corner of the browser window that looks like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle, as this graphic shows you:
Now click the puzzle icon and a drop down menu appears. You’ll see READER VIEW in the list with a PIN to the right of it. Click the pin and the READER VIEW icon will be added to the browser window. Now, any time you wish to read a page in READER VIEW, simply click the READER VIEW icon (if it’s blue, it means the page is actively in READER VIEW).
FIREFOX
The Reader View icon:
will appear in the address bar (a blue icon indicates the feature is currently active).
Simply click on that and voila!

At the bottom of every story, you will find a HEART icon. By clicking the heart, you have liked a story. It’s as simple as that! If you wish to say more, you may use the COMMENTS field at the bottom of a story to share your thoughts. You must be a registered site user and logged in to leave comments.
Hey, nobody’s perfect. However, we hope you’d like your story to look as good as it possibly can. Correct grammar and spelling are the foundations of any story. The archivist may request corrections in stories with a multitude of grammar or spelling errors that interfere with the ability to understand the story.
If you wish to rename your account, please contact us; there is no need to create a new account and move your stories across. Account renames or deletions can only be done by site admins.
