His body was tired
His mind exhausted
His thoughts were going round in circles

Not in the mood for his best friend
Not in the mood for anything lately
The mirror showed empty eyes
in a tired face that was his own
All alone at the end of the day
He sat down and stared
It was a disillusioned stare
One that had seen too much
The white knight in shining armor
had disappeared
All that remained was his shadow
