 I once dreamed of saving the world
and righting injustice’s wrongs
But along the journey the truths all changed
empty words in my bitter song

I once dreamed of saving the world
with you by my side `til the end
But now I must save what I once believed
and recapture the dream again

Starsky vs Hutch.

I once dreamed of saving the world
the champion of one woman’s heart
But my faithless soul betrayed the bond
and tore our world apart

I once dreamed of saving the world
build a home and a love that would last
But now I must rebuild the impenetrable trust
before friendship is lost to the past

Sweet Revenge.

I once dreamed of saving the world
avenge the innocence that was lost
But the world is bought by blood-debt
and demands too high a cost

I once dreamed of saving the world
But I choke on tears as I pray
For now I must save the one who means more
than a world that’s lost its way
