when justice bid me serve
The lying tongues of serpents
set free by empty words
Innocent blood left unavenged
A father snatched too young

Tendril grasp of opiates
my second self ensnared
The children of hell take hostage
a sacrifice laid bare
Overwhelmed, the world engulfs me
choking out breath and light
Souls of the damned charade as the living
no longer condemned to night
The holocaust we battle
threatens to engulf my soul
But then, in a heartbeat, you speak my name…
