(Being a Drabble Inspired by a Word Used on the Slash Slut’s Discussion List)

“I need to tell you something.”

“What? Hey, you can tell me anything, you know that.”

“I’m–”

“Gay?”

“No, more… non-heteronormative.”

“Excuse me.”

“What? Wait, y-you’re not–tell me you’re not disgusted or mad or–”

“Will you sit down? I’m just getting the dictionary. I didn’t realize you were gonna give me a Word of the Day. Dang, it’s not even in here. Thing weighs a ton, too, don’t know why I–oof–keep it on the top shelf. Now this nonheronormaltude, is it anything…kinky? Like with sheep?” (pause) “And would you show me?”
