Venice Place Times was a gen Starsky and Hutch anthology. There were four volumes produced between 2001 – 2004. It was produced by Venice Place Press editors, Paula Wilshe and Keri T.

Acknowledgments

It’s so difficult to sit down and try to write an acknowledgement list when, if I were to be truly honest and complete, said list would probably encompass as many pages as the fiction portion of the zine. Without further adieu, my thanks and praise go first to our unbelievably talented writers and artist, all of whom have been generous enough to gift us with their submissions: Minnie K, Kati, Cheryl, Sue, Val, and Julie—you guys have outdone yourselves, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this whole endeavor such a joy.

To my other half in publishing—my partner, Keri, I don’t think there is anyone on this earth who embodies more qualities that I would like to emulate. Keri is one of those girls who always knows the right thing to do. She is supportive, kind, caring, helpful, and when in doubt, works up a spreadsheet in short order. She’s there for me in every facet of my life—and is first in line to offer a sympathetic ear, support, cajoling, or a kick in the butt, whichever is most needed at the time. Love you, Ker!

To Rick, who has put up with a fannish wife lo these many years, and who doesn’t blink an eye when I am editing at four in the morning, or proudly displaying the stills and posters that have sort of overtaken the bedroom and are now moving into the hallway. Thank you for putting up with me, and for all the strength you’ve shown and given me over everything that’s gone on lately. Thanks for letting us use the Venice Place drawing again—it is always just so special to me because you drew it. Hockey?

To DMK, who designed the most beautiful covers—words fail me, they are gorgeous—thank you so very much.

To D.M.K. I’ve been your biggest fan for more than twenty years, now. Your arms are always out when I’m on a slippery slope. Thank you for treating this passion of mine with respect, and for grasping the concept of the covers and then running with it.

To our writers—ah, our writers. It’s a privilege and honor to publish you. Your talents enrich the fandom and have made this a terrific zine. I’ve really enjoyed working with all of you as we brought this together.

To Julie. The most extraordinary artist, and such a good friend. You went above and beyond the call, buddy.

To Barb—teacher, personal editor, and dear friend—who edited so many of the stories in this zine, and the others that VPP is doing—well, thank you isn’t enough. You were there in so many ways and I’ll never forget it.
