I love the games we play.
How did we ever find these roles
And stick to them all these years?
We’ve changed each other
Over time. I’m more like you,
You’re more like me,
But we didn’t start out that way.
Opposites attract—
We stuck like magnets
And I’m not sure anymore
Where I stop
And you begin.
Still, the games of two
So-different guys is fun.
Did you see the look on
Amboy’s face when I said I
Wondered what his caviar
Would taste like with peanut butter?
He’ll never know I’ve tasted
Caviar before, never know I
Love champagne and gourmet food.
Never suspect that you’ve learned
To enjoy an occasional taco, either.
We’ve still got ’em fooled, babe,
I thought I’d crack up when you
Fixed that cracker for me,
But I thought you were going to feed me
Like you did last night.
(We could only afford the red kind,
But it tasted better than Beluga
When I licked it off
Your fingers.)
You love to tease me, don’t you?
Tease me in public, love,
But don’t hold out when we’re
Alone.
Come on. The champagne’s gone,
I’m warm with its delight,
Yours is the taste I want to
Fill me now.
Put out the nightlight.
Our love
Is bright enough
For playing my favorite game.
