Live Journal: http://diane_c.livejournal.com I've been a fan of S&H since the '70s, when I faithfully watched the show, bought the teen magazines, and wore blue suede Starsky shoes to school. My love for the boys was resurrected in 2009 when my sister bought the DVDs for season one on a whim, and we watched the show together with more "adult" eyes. :) The characters and their complexities mean so much more to me now than they did to the swooning pre-teen I was then. And this solid, time-tested, brilliant fandom is the BEST.

Starsky and Hutch have a conversation to pass the time. This dialogue-only story was co-written with my sister while on vacation. I love writing with you, Denise! “Okay, blondie, here’s one. Grandparents’ names.” “Whish side?” “Uh, father’s. Then mother’s.” “’S boring. John ‘n Mary.” “You’re lying.” “Nope. Sorry. John and Mary Hush- Hushinson.” “God. Let’s hope your mother’s people… -
Starsky and Hutch have a history as pen pals. A post-SR epistolary fic. I wrote this story for the me_and_thee list’s S&H Secret Santa exchange. I drew Nicky Gabriel’s name, which made me very happy! It was a pleasure to write this gift for her. 🙂 Thanks, as always, to Denise for her beta. Sighing with disappointment, Hutch slumped… -
Post SR, Hutch and Dobey have a conversation in the hospital. There had been peaks and valleys – so many of both – and here was another damn valley. A new infection, a skyrocketing new fever. Through the ICU window, Hutch watched Starsky sleep, saw his weak, fretful movements, the lines of pain in his face, and he wondered about… -
Eleven slashy drabbles (100, 200 or 300 words), everything from pre-slash to explicit naughtiness to schmoop. These drabbles, originally written for me_and_thee_100, aren’t related to each other, but I’ve organized them in a vague chronology from pre-slash to established relationship. “Starsk and the Tomato” Occasionally they fight each other, and Starsk uses muscle to get his way, but usually? They’re… -
Post-SR, Starsky & Hutch spend Christmas together and find plenty to celebrate. This story was originally written as a Secret Santa gift for Laura McEwan. This is a stand-alone story, though I think of it as a sequel of sorts to My Brother’s Keeper. “Okay, yeah, tha’s more fun ‘n I thought it would be.” Hutch slung one arm heavily… -
Post-SR, Hutch and a recuperating Starsky visit Starsky’s family in New York. Nick Starsky’s POV. Pre-slash. Episodes related: “Starsky’s Brother” and “Sweet Revenge.” This is a stand-alone story, though in my mind I think of it as a prequel to Unwrapped. Many thanks to Denise, for her invaluable feedback and suggestions! ~Diane “Aw, and look who tagged along with…
