Poetry. Life threatening injury. The other waiting for a miracle. Sweet Revenge related.
He couldn’t hear the words
Only the soft urgency of the voice that he somehow knew was talking to him, cajoling him, praying for him, needing him.
He couldn’t hear the words
But he could hear the love, the loyalty, the hope that was asking for a miracle, for a response, for a sign.
He couldn’t hear the words
But he could feel the strength being offered and the need unspoken.
He opened his eyes
And saw the words running down in tears of joy on the face of the friend and brother he knew and loved so well.
