Warmth in the middle of winter.
I wrote this based on a line of dialogue from the trivia Thursday challenge posted in the Starsky and Hutch bRomance group on Facebook.
The sound of keys. The door opened.
“No, no, no. There he is. There’s our snowman.”
Starsky stood there, cradling their daughter. They both had big smiles on their faces and love in their eyes.
There were snowflakes on Hutch’s hair, his eyelashes, and even his nose. His cheeks were pink from the cold and his hair ruffled.
“Our Jack Frost!” Starsky laughed. Mandy giggled and declared, “Our Daddy Frost!”
“This snowman needs thawing, so you’d better both come here and give me your warmest hug.”
“Sandwich hug!!!” Mandy’s joy filled their hearts, and the hug lasted a long time.
No snowmen were harmed during the making of this story. There were, however, quite a few melted snowflakes.
And hearts. But that’s a good thing!
