Poetry from the zine Commitment. “There almost wasn’t time enough…”
Commitment was a 91-page slash Starsky & Hutch fanzine published in 1988 by Cheryl M. and Lucy. The zine originally was produced on a high quality cream-colored paper. The art is scanned directly from the zine. Artists in the zine include Judy Jones, Ruth Kurz, Linda McGee, Katherine Robertson, and Maureen B.
There almost wasn’t time enough
Nearly no more second chances.
I found in you,
all I ever needed
All but watching you go away
Before I had
a chance to
tell you
My choice…
my road.
One that I can walk down
Now
Knowing I’m not alone.
Knowing you’ll walk it with me
No strings or guarantees.
Just the love I never believed in
Down that road less traveled
Just you and me.
