Starsky’s back home…but still needs a nurse to look after him.

It had taken over two hours to get settled, but Starsky was finally home and in his own bed for the first time in months. And it felt so good…or it would have if he hadn’t fallen straight to sleep the moment his head hit the pillow.
The drive from the hospital, coupled with the time it took for him to get from the car to his apartment and the twenty minutes he’d spent panting on the couch had left him so exhausted that by the time Hutch had gotten some painkillers into him and dressed for bed, he couldn’t keep his eyes open.
It was late by the time Starsky woke up. He wondered if it was too late for food, his stomach was growling louder than a revved up engine. He thought about getting out of bed to go find Hutch, but despite the long nap he’d just had, he was still too tired to move. He’d joked with Hutch about getting a little bell, though now he was thinking it might actually come in handy.
Whether it was just good timing or through some psychic command, Hutch appeared in the doorway with a big smile on his face… and a nurse’s cap on his head.
Starsky looked him up and down. He was dressed in his usual t-shirt, shirt and slacks. “Where’s the rest of the outfit?” He asked, with a wiggle of his eyebrows and a saucy smile.
“You’re not ready for the rest yet,” Hutch said coming to sit on the side of the bed.
“I’ve always liked flirting with nurses.”
Hutch smiled. “Well, you can flirt with this one…” He leaned in and brushed his lips against his partner’s, but pulled back. “But first, it’s time for dinner and meds.” He get up and left the room, returning with a tray with a cheese sandwich on whole meal bread, a small bowl of fruit salad and a few bottles of pills on it.
“If I’m a good patient, will you put on the dress?” Starsky asked after swallowing a bite of this sandwich.
“I’ll do you a deal. I’ll buy one piece of the outfit for every achievement you make, deal?”
Starsky smiled. “Deal”
