Introduction
Welcome to Venice Place Chronicles, Volume VIII.
The acknowledgment page is hard for me to write. It’s hard for me to put into words my gratitude to the wonderful writers who trust me with their work—some who have been doing it for years—and to express my admiration for their talent without turning into mushball. So, let me just say thank you to Dana, Morgan, Kaye, Jennifer, Dawn, Gayle, and Sylvia. Thank you for writing stories that took my breath away. Thank you for putting up with me when I asked for re-writes and re-looks, or when I nit-picked. I hope you know I’m your biggest cheerleader, and I’m incredibly proud to be publishing you.
I’d like to offer a huge welcome to Jennifer C., new to the VPC family. It was wonderful to work with you!
Also new to the VPC family, but not new to devoted Starsky and Hutch readers, is Sylvia Bond. It’s a true honor to welcome you back to our fandom!
No acknowledgment page would be complete without my huge thanks to the fabulous Lorraine Brevig who can listen to me stumble out a concept and make it come to life in ways that stun me.
To my special gang who are family to me—thank you for your love and support.
And to the readers: we do this for you, and it’s our deepest wish that the zine you’re holding both entertains and inspires you, as we’re inspired by the magic that is Starsky and Hutch.
Thank you for supporting us with your purchase of this zine, and I really hope you enjoy it.
