My partner has the bluest eyes.

Blue – brilliant and blinding, so unusual that perfect strangers sometimes stop to gawk.

Blue – a lilting “breeze-from-the-ocean” color.

Sometimes I’m reminded of falling water – other times of a clean sharp wind blowing true from the north.

Do others ever notice how those eyes turn on me in secret, unspoken hunger – red fire blazing under that peaceful blue?
