Starsky’s home.

Starsky calls him Dr. Hutchinson.

He starts that after he gets home from the hospital to hear Hutch talking about “positive outcomes” and calling aspirins “anti-pyretics.” He sticks with it after Hutch starts lecturing him on macrobiotics and hides his Hershey bars. And he makes a vow not to stop, not after Hutch slips his sleeping pill in with his dinnertime antibiotics, so he misses the Lon Chaney marathon he was looking forward to.

But at night, when Hutch crawls carefully into bed, lying on his back so Starsky can lie against him, Starsky whispers into the darkness: “Thanks, Hutch.”
