I used to think
You didn’t need me,
that I was the dependent one,
Always needing you.
I was a fool then,
Too blind to see the little things.
Through the years I’ve seen
You shyly reaching out,
Staying close,
Hiding behind a wall of feigned aloofness.
I know you need
Me.
I’m here.
