She ran in to my life unbidden
Shy doe shining in the sun
Grace concealing a fragile heart
And a love unawakened and won
She ran in to my life unquestioningly
And surrounded my wounded soul
Gentleness revealing a love for me
And a promise to make me whole
She ran from my life unerringly
By bond and heritage and pain
Fleeting hart, dappled by sun
Never to loved again
