“Welcome to Cabrillo State.”
~ Hutch, Murder Ward
Linda B. ~ A big thanks goes to my fellow Cabrillo State inmates, Brit, Tibbie, and The Blintz, and an even BIGGER thanks goes to them for putting up with me. Love you guys. Their friendship knows no bounds, and there’s no way to put into words what they mean to me. Another hug goes to Barb D., our editor, who so patiently makes my stories sound better. She keeps us all letter perfect and true to the characters. The biggest thanks of all goes to PMG and DS, who gave us not only story characters who make us laugh, cry, and love, but two real people who understand the true meaning of friendship. To all of you who purchase this zine and share in the fun with the crazy Cabrillo State inmates, I say thanks for giving us a reason to write and share our stories. May all your friendships remain forever unbroken.
TibbieB ~ A special word of thanks to a few of the folks who have encouraged me to keep writing, even when my muse is down and out. First, my loving, one-of-a-kind husband, Mark—always tolerant and willing to eat a TV dinner when I just can’t turn off the computer long enough to cook. And of course, my dear, zany inmates from Cabrillo State—Brit, Linda B., and The Blintz. Your talent and your encouragement are my inspiration. Thanks to Barb D., the editor who is always honest with me, yet doesn’t expect me to take every suggestion as gospel. Also, to Suzan Lovett, the talented lady who graced our zine with her gorgeous artwork—making it a very special publication. Also, I’d like to express my gratitude to my other special buddies in fandom—Alisa, Jackie, Donna, Colleen, and Al. You guys know what a positive impact you’ve had on my life these last few years. But most important, thanks to those of you who bought our last zine and made it possible for us to do it all again.
The Blintz ~ First, I’d like say a big thanks to Brit, Tibbie, and Linda for allowing me to join them in this second edition of The Bond. These three people have become such a big part of my life, and I am eternally grateful for their friendship and support. I’d also like to say a special thanks to Londonmaid for getting me started on this journey and for her patience and encouragement in beta reading all the stories my muse cranks out. And a big thank you to all those of you who read what we write and continue to send little notes of feedback. I cannot tell you enough how much it means to me.
Brit ~ There’s not much more I can add that hasn’t already been said, so I’ll just say “’Amen” Thanks, though (see, you knew I couldn’t keep my mouth shut), to my fellow CSP inmates—you’ve made my life so much richer. To Jay—I love you more! Donna E. and Sabine—thanks for beta reading me so I don’t sound like a bigger idiot than I really am. And to Colleen, Sundog, my friend—A-choidh!
