“I don’t know.”

“Look, I dunno either, but whaddya think?”

“Would you leave it alone! I don’t know.”

“Well, didja mean it?”

”’Course I meant it.”

“Well, then you know.”

“No I don’t. It’s not that simple.”

“Yeah, Hutch, it’s that simple.”

“You don’t understand.”

“Thanks, partner.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Who d’ you think you’re talkin’ to? I know what you mean. So whaddaya think?”

“I think we should change the subject.”

“I don’t wanna change the subject. I wanna know…”

“What do I think.”

“Yeah.”

“You know already. I meant it—that’s what I think. Now would you get off my case? You don’t understand.”

“Yeah, I understand. You say it all the time but this time it’s different…. It’s the same for me.”

“Don’t be stupid.”

“Hey, partner, I’m not stupid.”

“…what’re you doing?”

“Showin’ you.”

“Quit it, Starsk. This is no time for games.”

“No games, babe. Not anymore.”

“You know?”

“Yeah… I know.”
