Acknowledgments

Last year at exactly this time, I was frantically trying to complete my acknowledgement page even as I was packing for a ten-day cross-country vacation. Keri and I swore we would never again allow real life circumstance to occur at the same time as our publishing deadline. It was a terrific thought, but both Keri and I have had our share of crud these last six months. Somehow, because of that, publishing the zines became even more important, as they represent something normal and static in our lives. My heartfelt thanks and praise go first to our unbelievably talented writers and arist, all of whom have been generous enough to gift us with their submissions: Nightbird, Windrain, Sue, Val, Abigail Crabtree, Charlotte Frost, and Julie-you guys have outdone yourselves, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this whole endeavor such a joy.

To my other half in publishing-my partner, Keri, I don’t think there is anyone on this earth who embodies more qualities that I would like to emulate. Keri is one of those girls who always knows the right thing to do. She is supportive, kind, caring, helpful, and when in doubt, works up a spreadsheet in short order. She’s there for me in every facet of my life-and is first in line to offer a sympathetic ear, support, cajoling, or a kick in the butt, whichever is most needed at the time. Love you, Keri!

To Rick, whose life has been turned upside down along with mine over the last couple of months, all my love and trust are wrapped up in you. You tell me it’s going to be okay, so I know it is. Thank you for taking up the slack with everything at home, and for being as strong as you are.

To Claudia, who hasn’t a clue about fandom, but loves me dearly, thank you for editing and proofreading, and only looking at me funny once in a while.

To Barb, thank you for amazing editorial help.

To D.M.K., who designed the most beautiful covers-words fail me, they are gorgeous-thankyou so very much.
