Introduction

Welcome to Venice Place Chronicles, Volume IX!

Well, faithful readers, here I am again with a new volume of Venice Place Chronicles. I’ve now been publishing zines for eleven years and still wonder at times if I know half of what I should know. However, what I do know is that I have wonderful writers and artists who have trusted me to publish their work over the years.

This year is no different.

To Dana, Sue, Laura, Kaye, and Dawn—thank you. It was a pleasure to work with all of you! Some of you had special challenges and I want you to know how much I appreciate what you did to get your lovely stories to me. I’m proud of you all.

I also want to thank Nicky and Kym for creating such wonderful art!

My gratitude to the magnificent Lorraine for the beautiful cover is endless. I gave you almost no time and you gave me brilliance. Thank you.

And in closing, special thanks to Flamingo for encouragement, yelling, laughter, camaraderie, advice, friendship, and so much more. It’s been quite a summer!
