And here is the final result of having so many incredible stories and illos that they would not possibly fit comfortably into one volume. Last year at this time we were questioning our sanity as we struggled to complete two zines for simultaneous publication. We vowed that we would never be in that position again. I don’t quite know how it happened, but somehow we have managed to produce not two, but four, simultaneous volumes. I am truly blown away by the caliber of our authors and our artist-you guys are absolutely top tier, and words cannot express my gratitude for your contributions: Tammy, Ellis, Nightbird (KAM), Jat Sapphire, Charlotte Frost, and Julie -you guys are amazing.

To my partner, Keri-you and I defy description, really, in so many ways, and I am just so blessed to have you in my life. You make the highs higher, and the lows more bearable, and I am holding you to that promise that we will still be deadline-scrambling twenty years from now. Love you with all my heart, I do, even if you are a girly girl who simply cannot conceive of the fact that I do not own any pink clothing or color -coordinated underwear.

To Rick, who not only tolerates this stuff, but truly understands what it all means to me, and whose positive attitude and strength are something I’m drawing from a whole lot these days-you make me feel safe, and right now, that is a valuable commodity. I love you so much, even if you do spoil Margaret more than is necessary.

To Claudia, who edits, proofs, pretends she is clueless (“Hutch is the blond one, right?), painlessly draws blood with one stick, knows where everything is in my house that I can’t find, and would climb the highest mountain to get to me if I needed her-which I often do-all my love.

Gee, I know I can’t come close to my partner’s eloquence, so I’m not even going to try. I do want to thank her for her beautiful thoughts and kindness. Her generosity of spirit and incredible outlook on life. She makes projects like this a whole lot easier for the nervous, detail obsessed, worrier that I am. Most people aren’t lucky enough to have a Paula in their life. I am and I never forget it. And I always keep my promises, partner.

Paula has named our wonderful writers and artist. I can only add my thanks and gratitude for making this zine into what it is.

Fandom is so much about friendships. The friendships may start in Bay City, and with a mutual love for two marvelous characters and the actors who brought them to life, but so many of us are lucky enough to have those friendships grow beyond that mutual love. I want to thank mine, and you all know who you are.

Finally, to our readers. It’s because of you that we’re doing this batch of zines. Your support and enthusiasm is incredibly sweet to this fledgling zine partnership. Thank you for holding this zine in your hands.
