SOMEBODY’S KNOCKIN’
SOMEBODY’S DOIN’ AN EDITORIAL
I love being part of a team! Blue Eyes and Blue Jeans is the product of a lot of effort by quite a few women, without whom the zine would not exist.
First of all, I want to expres my heartfelt appreciation to Mary Louise Fisher and Kath Moonshine—two of the most steadfast friends a gal could have. For all your hard work—thanks!
Kudos are also due to the artists: Suzan, for your (typically) wonderful cover, Judy, for two lovely pieces that so perfectly convey the essence of the SH relationship, and Linda, for the striking Starsky that conveys so aptly the mood of your story.
Debra—blessings be upon you! Without you to handle printing, this zine could not have come to fruition!
Heidi—many thanks for agreeing to take on distribution chores.
Of course, the greatest appreciation is owed to the writers, who have put hours of their lives and themselves into producing a fine collection of fiction, and without whom there would be nothing for the editors to edit, the artists to illustrate, the printers to print or the distributor to distribute. Ladies, you have been without exception a pleasure to work with.
Readers, I think you’ll really enjoy the selection of stories in this zine. We have a wide variety of plot lines and time frames—from episode-related to original concept, from 70’s to 80’s to current day. We have wonderful poetry. We have writers who are old favorites, new writers who are sure to be future favorites, old favorite authors working under new pseudonyms, new writers working under pseudonyms… (And a partridge in a pear tree!)
LOCs*: here’s the habitual plea to send them! They are the best ‘payment’ the contributors get. It is the policy of the Idiot Triples Press to give each contributor her own book of LOCs. So let us know what you think!
Linda

Somebody’s Knockin’
Should I let him in?
Lord, it’s the devil,
Would you look at him?
I’ve heard about him,
But I never dreamed
He’d have
Blue Eyes and Blue Jeans.
